| Campus Banking Facilities:
Since the Bursar's office is not a bank, we do not cash checks.
However, the Wildcard is now affiliated with Wachovia Bank,
and students have access to 4 ATM machines that are conveniently located
around campus. If you choose to open a Wachovia checking account, your
Wildcard may also be your Wachovia ATM card. You can get cash or make
purchases with the money in your Wachovia checking account anywhere
that MAC® NYCE® , or PLUS® are accepted. Ask a Wachovia representative for more details about ATM access to College Express Checking
with your Wildcard. If you call 1-800-850-8166 right now, you can sign
up for a Wachovia checking account over the phone and avoid the rush.
Your Wildcard debit account is separate from your
Wachovia account.
With your Wildcard debit account you maintain a balance in your Wildcard
account that must be used to pay your Telecommunications bill and may be
used when purchasing a parking permit, paying any incurred fines and at
various selected outside merchants . You can use it to make cashless purchases
at the University Shop, the Connelly Center and at all Dining Services
locations. The WildCard will not be accepted for payment of tuition,
room or board.
Your Wildcard also got smarter with the new Smart card technology.
Your new Wildcard has a microprocessor chip imbedded under the gold contacts.
It contains various types of memory and circuitry for communications with
the outside world. The circuitry and software provide the capability of
having "electronic purses". These purses allow you to deposit money into
the memory of the chip for use at vending, copiers and laundry machines
across campus. For more information about your Wildcard, visit the Wildcard
web page.
